The service
Seen Aloud generates audio description, captions and related files from videos you upload, using automated AI systems. No person reviews your video or the output.
Your content
You must own or have permission to use every video you upload. You keep all rights to your videos and to the files we generate for you. We use your videos only to produce your files and never to train AI models.
AI output
Descriptions are generated automatically and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing the files before you publish them and for decisions about your own legal compliance. The compliance note is information, not legal advice or a certification.
Subscriptions and billing
Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, our payment processor, and renew automatically until cancelled. We never see or store your card number. Each plan includes a number of minutes per month; yearly plans receive their minutes monthly on the same day each month. Minutes are measured by the length of each original video, rounded up to the next minute, and are deducted when processing starts. If a video fails, its minutes are returned. Starter minutes expire at the end of each monthly period; Pro and Team minutes carry over for one month, up to one month’s allowance, and carried-over minutes are used first. Minutes have no cash value.
Changing plans
Upgrades take effect immediately: you are charged the prorated difference for the rest of the billing period, and the additional minutes are added straight away. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you. While a payment is overdue, new videos cannot be started; files you already made stay available. If the payment is not recovered, the subscription ends.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account; your plan and remaining minutes stay active until the end of the paid period, and you will not be charged again. If you are not satisfied, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full if you have used fewer than 30 minutes. Other refunds are at our discretion. Prices may change; we will tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to your subscription.
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful content, content you have no rights to, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
